How To Put Yourself More At Cause – Planet Earth Street Sense 101

So, I’ve been opening my big mouth and shoving people’s noses into the mess we have in front of us.

That can be a bad thing to do, if one doesn’t also tell people what to do. Then, what was intended as awareness raising can end up in shattering morale. That’s non productive.

So, what does one do? What are steps to take in handling the environment we live in? I will give some steps that I see as positive and productive.

Issue: The overall broad environment can be threatening if one is sitting on his butt being the effect. Inflowing TV, mainstream media advertisements and marketing, pharmaceutical industry propaganda and sports sets you up for a lose.

What you imbue your mind with is what you begin to be. The mind translates thoughts into reality.

Action Steps: I personally would say, trash the TV set. Actually mothball it, give it away or just don’t watch it. Short of this, select out programming that is very high in emotional tone and keep it very limited.

This will clean the constant flow of garbage out of your environment. Really, you will feel the difference when you turn the idiot box off.

Oh yeah, I forgot, chuck the newspaper as well. If you realized that in 1915 vested interests with very specific names did the following (and I quote), “…the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information…” (Quote from the book The Creature From Jekyll Island - G. Edward Griffin pg. 244)

This practice is only more effective nowadays. About 5 corporations are responsible for the mainstream media TV, movies, network news, newspapers magazines, books etc, so, you are seeing and  reading filtered false data – nothing any good for you. An investigation into the ownership of those corporations will reveal motives and methods.

The Power Of Words – The Command Of Language And Words Can Give You An Edge – A Sharp One

Eben Pagan, said, “Know your language…” Not to make you some big shot, but words and their meanings have a lot of bearing on how well you can connect with your audience. And in marketing, in sales, in living and living a good life, it’s all about the most basic of components – communication. Every word is a link in the chain of understanding. Understanding comes before ability to DO.

Watch the video and tell me what you think.

Need I say more? I won’t, but I challenge you to take the last book you didn’t finish, or the last marketing training course you thought would handle your problems and it didn’t. Get a dictionary and look up some of those key words. Your head will clear up and the more of those little tiny “fogs” encountered by that “almost” understood word; that one word that you told youself…”yeah, that means …” then you second guessed yourself, but kept going anyway…

I challenge you to do that with the most important book or audio or video in your training arsenal. Start from the beginning and dig in with a dictionary (I know that may seem strange to do…).

Know your language better than you do right now. Bet it’s easier to DO, and easier to APPLY and get better results.

Let’s Separate Hype From Help…

Hello!

This is Al Baker here from Components of Success.com

Maybe you’ve seen  a few posts from me since you became part of my facebook friends list or browsed my blog here.

There is one additional thing I would like to say to you personally, as frankly, the amount of hype and sales pitches and just plain B.S. in our industry just continues to pile up.

My personal credo is to first and foremost help, to the utmost when needed, any person who genuinely asks for it.

This doesn’t at all mean I cater to or waste time on people looking for a handout. Well, that’s not real help, so that’s not what I mean. I mean someone who’s working hard to learn how to fish, not looking for free fish, if you know what I mean.

The subject’s been on my mind for a bit, so I also shot a short video on it – here it is:

I spend some of my time developing my social media friends on facebook for example. There, I always ask a new friend, “What do you need and want from a friend on facebook, (or anywhere else for that matter)?”

Why do I ask this?

How many revolutionary, “must-have,” “cutting edge,” “make-you-a-fricking-zillionaire,” or “Insider Secrets” courses, software or systems are floating around out there in the marketing ocean?

50? 100? 1,000? Who knows?

How does one sort out what to do when?

How does one profit from the dizzying maze of offerings, that all seem good and move forward in his study of the vital subject called “marketing?”

I pose this question because I have seen too many would-be aspirants squirming and confused with 10 courses in hand, not having even studied  them!

Thus, little or no progress and they eventual fade out. They quit or just putter along in a non productive nowhere.

Then desperation sets in…

Here are some key tips on how to properly utilize the wealth of training material available:
