Peering at life from the top down…
or squinting to catch what glimpse of life one can get from the bottom up…yields the same vision.
There’s a certain bliss in blindness.
The only problem is, is that there’s only one way out and that’s by taking full responsibility.
We must all walk the same waking journey, whether king or conquerer or baby born in a mountain hovel.
The delusion of comfort is just that – delusion, for the bigger trap holds us all, just the same.
We all have to tread the narrow footpath and either confront or ignore the snaking river, miles below… The avalanche for one is the same avalanche blocking the route out for all.
We will only free ourselves as brothers.
So, it’s time to shed the daydream of difference and understand that we are all mankind and all in the same cage, however good it feels to some and bad to others.
The only way out is the way through – through the same eye of the same needle. And that needle accepts only all of us or none of us.
